If you enjoy singing a wide range of music from gospel to classical with a sprinkle of laughter and fellowship thrown in, this dedicated group is for you. They sing several times a month and frequently at both Sunday morning worship services. A major work is traditionally sung once a year, which requires extra rehearsals. Previous performances include: the REQUIEMs of John Rutter, Gabriel Faure, David Huff, and Malcom Archer; SVYATI, by John Tavernor; and THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST by Dubois. No audition is required, just a love of music. This is your chance to relax, unwind and have fun with music. Soloist and small group opportunities are available in the summer months and for special occasions.
This year the Chancel Choir is part of the inagural recital series to celebrate the installation of our new Parsons Organ. Durning the Reformation Celebration on October 26th, at 5:00 PM they will Sing two major works of John Rutter: MAGNIFICAT and GLORIA. Summer rehearsal schedules will be announced shortly. There is still time to be a part of this wonderful experience.
