Jr. High Announcements
Junior High

 Summer Sunday School

Come and join us for a different kind of Sunday School this summer  It is going to be one big classroom with people of all ages sitting at each table.  We will pick a character and feature that describes them, discuss it, and then do an activity together.  Then we will have a snack with coffee and juice available for some fellowship time.  This Sunday School is for everyone, grandparents, kids, twenty something's, Parents, Couples with out kids, and anyone else who isn't described.  We will meet in the community center from 9:15-10:15am each Sunday beginning June 15th- August 24th. If you would like to help, please contact Maria or Michelle in the church office. We look forward to seeing you this summer for Sunday school.

We are interested in putting a Junior High Ministry Team together.  What does that mean?  We would like to have a couple adults and a couple of youth who serve on a team that makes decisions on what youth in junior high will do for the year.  If you are an adult or a youth who would like to be on this team, please contact Michelle in the church office or at michelle@newhopelc.org.

 Painting the Nursery:

We will be painting our nursery on June 14th at 9 am.  We will be providing food and drinks for all who come to help.  If you have any supplies you could bring with you, please do.  We look forward to a fun day of being creative with paint.  See you then.

 Hurt by Chap Clark

If you would like to know more about what teenagers go through on a daily basis, this book is for you.  If you got a child in middle school or high school, this book and group is for you.  We will be taking this book that lays out how being a teenager has changed, what they specifically are going through and how we can help them during this time of life.  We will be reading one chapter a week and discussing it together.  It is not meant to bash or think that what teenagers are going through is bad, but rather looking at it and seeing how we, as adults, can better support, guide, and care for them during this time.  We will begin meeting on June 11th in the high school loft in the community center at 6:30pm.  If you are interested in reading the book, please contact Michelle so she can order you one.  We looking forward to some great discussions.
