Children & Music
Music and Worship for Children at NHLC is:
A teaching Tool
A way to Bond
A way to Learn Performance Practice
A Journey Taken Together
Children are tremendously important at New Hope Lutheran Church and their musical enrichment and artistic development is a core value of our faith formation programming at New Hope. Through music and art children are able to express their emotions and devotions in ways that: 1) they may not yet have the verbal skill to describe, or 2) allow them to voice concepts that defy concrete definitions. Often, it is within these cognitive "cracks" that our faith flowers. By equipping our children with the skills of self expression through music, performance, and art, we allow them to better explore their spiritual lives and enrich their practice of prayer. Using a rich combination of immersive events, situations, and techniques, New Hope Lutheran Church seeks to educate the future leaders of the church in ways that will remain forever impactful through the years. All children are special. All children are gifted and we want to help your children discover their gifts and learn to use them to the betterment of the world and to the glory of God.
