Director of Faith Formation
Jamie is excited to be joining New Hope Lutheran Church as the Director of Faith Formation and looks forward to serving alongside the congregation in our walk of faith.
Jamie is the proud wife to Wesley Marshall and mother of four amazing children: Connor (6 yrs.), Daniella (4 yrs.), Kiersten (2 yrs.), and Ethan (10 mos.). Together, they enjoy spending time with their dog and kittens, going on bike rides, watching movies, playing games, and participating in extracurricular activities.
Jamie has served churches in Youth and Family Education and has also worked in social work, specifically for children and youth with behavioral and mood disorders, juvenile delinquents and felons, as well as assisting underprivileged families and elderly in meeting their basic needs. She attained an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and has completed some coursework at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest in Austin, Texas.
Jamie is service oriented, loves meeting and greeting, and has a wealth of experience with people of all ages and backgrounds from innocent babes to wise seniors. Her call to ministry challenges her to lead others to finding their place in the church and the Body of Christ. She finds great joy in the process of seeking, creating, and fostering church programs that encourage people to come together as a true Christian family where newfound purpose and relationships are formed.
Jamie is passionate about Christian Education valuing daily devotions, Bible Studies, book clubs, and Sunday School among other faith formation tools. She also enjoys congregational fellowship opportunities which provide an additional avenue for church growth and personal faith formation.
Jamie is enthusiastic about service and outreach ministries and helping the congregation identify how they can work together in following the examples of Jesus through taking action to alleviate some of the suffering and oppression that exists here in our community and in the world as a whole.
